Criminal and Juvenile Law

HKT law represents clients in all phases of criminal cases including prior to charging, post arrest, from arraignment through trial and appeal if necessary. Attorney Harvey has been representing clients in the adult and criminal courts for over thirty years. She was the lead counsel in the 2012 Supreme Judicial Court case of Commonwealth v. Dean-Ganek, which was one of two cases that resulted in the change of Rule 12 of the Massachusetts Rules of Criminal Procedure. Protecting the Constitutional Rights of the accused is the priority of the lawyers of HKT Law.

I was embarrassed and afraid I would lose my job when I was arrested and charged with the crime of driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment (because my 16 year old was in the back seat). I did not know where to turn. I knew I needed an experienced litigator and someone who would fight for my rights. After watching Attorney Harvey in court, I decided to hire her. I was so impressed with knowledge, tenacity and compassion. Thankfully, after some time, Attorney Harvey convinced a Judge to dismiss parts of my case and she was able to negotiate a favorable plea on the remaining portions. When the Department of Children and Families became involved, she was there as well. My family and I are so thankful for her.
